The Travelling Yoghurt

When I was travelling overseas a few years ago, my friends brought me to a cute little frozen yoghurt shop near the beach. Although the shop itself was small, a line of sandal-clad people stretched out the door and all the way down the shopping strip. When my friends and I finally made it to the front of the line, I couldn’t believe just how many frozen yoghurt flavours were available from the glass display cabinet. I purchased a chocolate flavour, stacked it with even more chocolate treats and savoured every single bite.

Now, I’m living in Adelaide, in one of the more industrial, up-and-coming suburbs. My apartment is right next to a mechanic. Lockleys doesn’t have much in the way of frozen yoghurt, which is a shame because I’ve really been craving it recently. Maybe it’s all the time I’ve been spending inside at work, but I’ve been longing to go to the beach more than ever. I can’t stop thinking about that chocolate frozen yoghurt, but where can I possibly get one in Adelaide? The only shops around me sell things like building parts and transmission fluid. On the bright side, if I ever need my car fixed, I’ll be able to book the best mobile auto electrician in Adelaide, conveniently just down the road.

Instead of languishing in my apartment with my crazy yoghurt craving, I decide to head to the shops to pick up some ingredients to make the food myself. A quick search online shows it might actually be easier than I had originally thought. In the way of equipment, all I need is a blender and a freezer. It’s going to take a little while to prepare, but considering I’ve waited several years for the yoghurt in the first place, I’m not too worried about a few extra hours. Hopefully it tastes just as nice as it did from the store!
